About the Festival

Hunter Central Coast Innovation Festival was launched in 2008 to help connect businesses and highlight the Hunter and Central Coast’s reputation as an innovative and entrepreneurial region.

Held annually, the Festival continues to grow and attract the region’s most innovative businesses. Last year the event attracted 4,500 people, attending 45 events including the Hunter Valley Research Foundation’s economic report and insights into the regions innovation.

The Festival is a joint initiative of a wide group of regional stakeholders including three levels of government, industry and business associations, educational and research organisations, and private sector companies.

Through a mixture of trade shows, seminars, expos and open days, the festival is a unique opportunity to hear about and/or see products, services, equipment, technology, science and engineering innovation produced by the our region. The Hunter Central Coast Innovation Festival is a regional offshoot to the Australian Innovation Festival - a national event that aims to inspire a culture of innovation in all Australians, by reinforcing our rich, innovative history and entrepreneurial spirit.

The HCCIF is underpinned by Regional Development Australia, Hunter - an initiative between the NSW Government and the Australian Government established to enhance the growth and development of the Hunter region.
